Description
The Ortega River Railroad Bridge is used by CSX to cross the Ortega River. Used to be that the bridge beside the Ortega River Railroad Bridge was used for motor traffic. However, this has since been dismantled and turned into a fishing pier. This pier is relatively small, but offers some great fishing and (when they're running) a great area to catch shrimp. Once nice days (or the shrimp are running), this bridge can become crowded very quickly. Fishing spots can become scarce since this is a small bridge, so get there early. There are a number of parking spots on the side of the roadway, but because of the proximity, it may be a little walk to the end of the pier.
